Duel Enrollment

Get a head start on your degree while in high school

Students can dual enroll in the following universities and receive duel credit, both at CBA and in their university of choice, with full time Jr and Sr students graduating with an Associate’s Degree. Cost is in addition to tuition at Calvary but will save students time and the cost of attending college full time.

The average cost per credit hour in university is $500, not including the additional cost of living on campus. With this program, students are able to enroll on college, begin earning a degree, and not take on an additional workload throughout their High School experience.

How it Works

Students can take up to two courses per semester tuition-free and earn college credit, subject to required course scheduling.  Students may enroll in-person classes at Howard Payne University, but most students choose to enroll in online courses. Tuition does not include the cost of books or other materials required for course enrollment.

EARLY COLLEGE
Our Early College Program provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible CBA students. This program allows students to accelerate the completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills. Eligibility is determined by the requirements set forth by the State of Texas and with the approval of the high school principal or designee.

There are two ways for eligible NTA students to enroll:
• A college transfer pathway
• A career and technical education pathway

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PATHWAYS
Career and Technical Education Pathways (CTE) are programs of study to provide expanded opportunities through Liberty University. This program enables students to participate in career and technical educational tuition-free courses and to expose students to a variety of high-skill career options.

1.    To be eligible for enrollment, a high school student must meet the following:

  • Be an CBA junior or senior.

  • Have a GPA of 3.0 in high school courses or have the recommendation of the high school principal or designee.

  • Meet the prerequisites for the career pathway.

2.    To maintain eligibility for continued enrollment, a student must:

  • Continue to make progress toward high school graduation.

  • Maintain a 2.0 in college coursework after completing two courses. Students who fall below a 2.0 GPA in their college coursework will become ineligible for future courses.

  • Maintain approval of the high school principal or designee.
